Middletown and Cobb Community Evacuation Routes
The South Lake County Fire Protection District plans to clear hazard vegetation 100 feet from the centerline in key areas along Hwy 29, Hwy 175, and Butts Canyon Road.
Using funds from a CalFire Fire Prevention Grant, the South Lake Fire Protection District has been able to purchase equipment and fund a crew to conduct evacuation route clearing in some areas of South Lake County. In order to complete this goal, they will need permission from landowners in areas they mean to clear.
